Kindred Spirits: Letters and music of Brahms and the Schumanns
Heliand Consort explores the complex triangle that brought together three of the greatest musical minds of the Romantic Era. Through letters and music of Brahms and the Schumanns, Heliand offers a glimpse into their tragic and beautiful story of love, friendship and art. The program includes Robert Schumann’s Romances for oboe and piano, Brahms Sonata for piano and clarinet, and the music of Clara Schumann.Selected letters will be read by guest artists Jim Stapleton, Diana Bigelow, and Patrick Evans

The Concert Choir of Keene State College includes St. Albans on their Spring Tour of New Hampshire, Vermont, and New York.

Music includes works by Vermont composer Gwyneth Walker, Keene State faculty members Heather Gilligan and Lainee Ginsberg, the world premiere of ‘Fire and Ice’ by KSC student Geoffrey Edwards as well as pieces by Willaert, Brahms, Gounod, Lauridsen and Arvo Pärt.
